Ignite Texas is a four-day retreat that connects incoming UT and ACC freshmen and transfer students to Christian community at The University of Texas and throughout Austin. This retreat provides students with friends and community before arriving to campus and also gives them the tools they need to seek spiritual growth during their time in Austin.

Session Availability

Ignite Texas hosts two sessions for retreat in 2024: Session 1 is August 4-7 & Session 2 is August 7-10. Please be sure to select the session that works best with your schedule. If you are able to attend either session, you are welcome to buy a ticket for "either session" and we will notify you of the session you've been placed in.

Neither session of Ignite Texas conflicts with other UT events, including sorority recruitment, Camp Texas, Longhorn Band auditions, and "Mooov-In" to the dorms.

Session 1 (August 4-7, 2024)

Check-in begins on August 4th at 1:30 PM at Austin Oaks Church (4220 Monterey Oaks Blvd, Austin, TX 78749). Buses will leave the church for the campground at 2:45 PM. If you drive yourself to Austin, you will be able to leave your car parked in the church parking lot for the duration of your session. Campers will be brought back to Austin Oaks Church on August 7 by 1:00 PM.

Session 2 (August 7-10, 2024)

Check-in begins on August 7th at 1:30 PM at Austin Oaks Church (4220 Monterey Oaks Blvd, Austin, TX 78749). Buses will leave the church for the campground at 2:45 PM. If you drive yourself to Austin, you will be able to leave your car parked in the church parking lot for the duration of your session. Campers will be brought back to Austin Oaks Church on August 10 by 1:00 PM.

Scholarship Information

If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please apply here by June 23rd. You will be notified of your scholarship status by July 1st. If you are applying for a scholarship, do not register for retreat until you have been notified of your scholarship status.

Additional Information

The ticket price includes a $50 non-refundable deposit and covers the cost of all retreat activities and food, if you are no longer able to attend retreat, you may email Jerri at development@ignitetexas.org to cancel your registration and receive a refund for the ticket cost minus the $50 deposit. Refund requests will be processed until July 30th at 11:59 PM CST.
