The Role of media team

Ignite is very dependent on the creative skills and strategic work of our Media Team! This community of talented student volunteers collaborate together to support Ignite’s mission through purposeful transmedia worship. Media Team is comprised of two squads: Creative and Marketing. These groups are led by the Media and Marketing Execs and exist cohesively to work together on most major projects.

This Squad aims to develop content that will edify staff and campers. Creative Squad develops graphic, photo, and video content for different Ignite promotions, testimonials, and merchandise throughout the year. During meetings and at the August retreat, this team is in charge of all the photo/video needs as well as managing audio/visual equipment.

marketing squad

Marketing Squad exists to manage Ignite’s brand and publicize retreat to incoming UT students. This team manages Ignite’s website and announcements, establishes effective social media plans for the year, and builds Ignite’s relationships with parents, churches, high schools and student groups across Texas. Additionally, Marketing Squad is responsible for heading up all advertising and publicity for official Ignite events, creating buzz around staff and camper recruitment, as well as managing the monthly newsletter.
