The Role of Core fours

There are four individuals who lead each “camp” of counselors—two co-chairs and two prayer team leaders. These student volunteers work together to equip their counselors with the Gospel, foster a culture of love and faithfulness, and prepare to connect incoming students to the body of Christ in Austin. Core Four members have the joy of growing in wisdom alongside their fellow brothers and sisters, as well as practicing Christ-centered servant leadership to promote spiritual growth within their camp.

CO-chairs

At retreat in August, co-chairs are responsible for creating an environment for campers to hear the Gospel and feel the love of Christ through their counselors. They also lead and encourage camp bonding activities, like “Big Camp Time,” and oversee the logistics of small groups.

prayer team

If you ever need to find a prayer team leader, look no further than the prayer room! Here, they will be available for spiritual conversations and relational prayer 24 hours of every day of retreat in August. Throughout the year and at retreat, they will also lead their camps to be reliant on God through prayer.
