How do I register for Ignite?

Registration is open! You can register on Eventbrite for either Session 1 (August 4-7, 2021) or Session 2 (August 7-10, 2021) until tickets sell out. At that time, you will be able to join the waitlist.

What sort of things will we do at camp?

During camp we will have camp-wide sessions, Big Camp Time, and small groups every morning and night. There will also be an evening prayer and worship session, Late Night with Ignite, Camp Olympics and the Ministry Fair. Bring clothes you can get dirty and wet for Camp Olympics because it will be hot (this is Texas after all). We may also have some free time in the afternoon where you can play disc golf or go to the Highland Lakes pool.

What is the Ministry and Church Fair?

Ignite hosts a Ministry and Church Fair during retreat to give campers the opportunity to interact with local churches and Christian organizations. The goal is to help them get plugged into the body of Christ in Austin!

On staff with an Austin-area church? Interested in representing your college ministry at the Ministry and Church Fair? Email Jessica Castillo at ministry@ignitetexas.org and she will be able to help you out!

Can I change my registration information or switch sessions after I register?

Yes! Please email Kelsey Parker at assistant@ignitetexas.org with your updated information.

Does Ignite conflict with other freshman events (such as sorority recruitment or Camp Texas)?

Nope! Neither session of Ignite Texas conflicts with other UT events, including sorority recruitment, Camp Texas (certain sessions), Longhorn Band auditions, and "Mooov-In" to the dorms.

What if I have allergies, disabilities, or medical concerns?

We are able to accommodate most allergy, disability, and medical concerns. Please list all relevant concerns in their respective fields on the registration form when you sign up for camp.

What if I’m not going to UT?

Ignite is not just for UT students; any entering college student looking to get connected to the Christian community in Austin is welcome at camp! If you will be attending another college in Austin and are interested in coming to Ignite, please email JT Dahill at director@ignitetexas.org.

There are other retreats like Ignite at schools around the nation! Here are a couple in Texas: Impact (Texas A&M), Foundation (Texas Tech), Rise (Texas State).
